After a successful series of concerts over the past year, we are thrilled to announce the Bridgewater Sinfonia’s 2026-27 Concert Season. We open in October with Giuseppe Verdi’s awe-inspiring Requiem, his 1874 setting of the Requiem Mass famed for its operatic style.
In November, celebrate ballet and film music of Russia in a matinée programme featuring Tchaikovsky’s ballet suites The Nutcracker and Swan Lake and the “Troika” from Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kije.
In 2027, we look forward to performances of Harold in Italy by Hector Berlioz (with Simon McKenzie, viola), César Franck’s Symphony in D minor. In June, our summer finale has a glorious Russian flavour, with Glinka’s Ruslan and Ludmilla overture, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition (orchestrated by Ravel) and we are delighted to welcome back Thomas Kelly to play in Scriabin’s Piano Concerto in F♯ minor.
Ticket links will be available through this website. We encourage our regular music lovers to support the orchestra by joining the Friends of the Bridgewater Sinfonia, and enjoy member benefits at all our concerts.
